Rosie Cooper is an artist and curator whose work is at once a show, a spectacle, occasionally a disappointment and sometimes a cliche. Her projects are devised to form investigations in to theatricality and performance across numerous artforms.
Mill24 Exhibition:"A Party to Honour the Absence of the Amazing Miss Rosie Cooper" was originally a commissioned response to John Cage's 1952 "silent" musical composition, 4'33". Since it was originally shown at Magazin 4, Bregenz, Austria, it seems to have distanced itself from its original intentions, becoming more autonomous, and taking on a number of additions in the form of postcards sent from audience members to the artist, and alternative decoration schemes, depending on the place. As well as in Austria, it has been exhibited in London and at Villa Romana, Rome..
